Prayer Concerns - April 17

PALM SUNDAY

Prayer of the Day

Holy God, you confound the world's wisdom in giving your kingdom to the lowly and the pure in heart. Give us such a hunger and thirst for justice, and perseverance in striving for peace, that in our words and deeds the world may see the life of your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. - See more at: http://www.elca.org/Our-Work/Congregations-and-Synods/Worship/Lectionary/YearA#Epiphany
Lord God, your loving kindness always goes before us and follows after us. Summon us into your light, and direct our steps in the ways of goodness that come through the cross of your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. - See more at: http://www.elca.org/en/Our-Work/Congregations-and-Synods/Worship/Lectionary/YearA#Epiphany
Lord God, with endless mercy you receive the prayers of all who call upon you.  By your Spirit show us the things we ought to do, and give us the grace and power to do them, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen. - See more at: http://www.elca.org/en/Our-Work/Congregations-and-Synods/Worship/Lectionary/YearA#Epiphany
Holy God of compassion, you invite us into your way of forgiveness and peace. Lead us to love our enemies, and transform our words and deeds to be like his through whom we pray, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen. - See more at: http://www.elca.org/en/Our-Work/Congregations-and-Synods/Worship/Lectionary/YearA#Epiphany

Everlasting God, in your endless love for the human race you sent our Lord Jesus Christ to take on our nature and to suffer death on the cross. In your mercy enable us to share in his obedience to your will and in the glorious victory of his resurrection, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Bend your ear to our prayers, Lord Christ, and come among us. By your gracious life and death for us, bring light into the darkness of our hearts, and anoint us with your Spirit, for you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. - See more at: http://www.elca.org/Our-Work/Congregations-and-Synods/Worship/Lectionary/YearA#Easter
