“Justification and Sanctification” with Pastors Clifton Suehr and Marleen Griffith-Stull

What do these words mean?  How do they apply to Lutherans?  The study guide asks such questions as:  How do you understand sin and its power in your life?  From where does faith originate?  What are the connections between baptism and the doctrines of Justification and Sanctification?

“The Nature of Faith and Grace” with Pastors Bill Diehm and Kari Smail

A unique presentation including Scripture, hymns, the creed, remembering some of the faithful such as Abraham and Luther, and the use of the Means of Grace.  The study guide includes a discussion of the importance of grace and faith, words in hymns, and how God has spoken through witnesses.

“Liturgy and the Church Year” with Pastors Gordon Ray and Martin Roth

A video in two parts, the first dealing with the liturgy, its history, patterns, and meanings.  The second covers the Sacraments, and the church year.  Sample questions from the study guide:  When you hear/read the definition of the Church in the Seventh Article of the Augsburg Confession, how does that affect your understanding of the importance Lutherans have put on Word and Sacrament and Worship?  What words in worship confuse you?  Comfort you? How does knowing the meaning of the colors of the church year enhance your understanding of the meaning of different days and seasons?

“Theology of the Cross” with Pastors Scott Bryte and Bob Hawk

What is the difference between the theology of the cross and the theology of glory?  What place does the cross have in our lives?  A study guide will be available soon.

“Vocabulary of the Church” with Pastors Sarah Lee-Faulkner and Blair Morgan

What is a patten, a chausible, a burse, a narthex, a lectern, a chalice? And more.  The study guide is being written.  Especially great for Altar Guilds and new members.
