Servant Songs of Isaiah: Christians Reckoning with Antisemitism

  • Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh at Chatham University 107 Woodland Road Pittsburgh, PA, 15232 United States (map)

Continuing in our synod’s education around preaching with love and respect for the Jewish people, members of our ministerium are invited to an art exhibit followed by a Holy Week pericope study at the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh.

A tour of “Revolving Doors” will be led by Noah Schoen, Community Outreach Associate at the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh. The exhibit juxtaposes Jewish cultural life with persistent antisemitism across time; the devastating impact of the Holocaust on global Jewry; and antisemitism today, including artists’ responses to the attack on the three congregations in the Tree of Life building on October 27, 2018. Following the tour, Bishop Kusserow will lead a pericope study on the Servant Songs of Isaiah. This event is a part of Christians Reckoning with Antisemitism, a program of Christian Associates of Southwest Pennsylvania and the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh.

Due to space constraints, this event will be limited to 20 attendees. It is important to note that the facility is not wheelchair accessible and requires the ability to climb stairs and stand for 45 minutes.

Registration Fee: $20
Includes lunch.
