ELCA Current Openings

The ELCA.org web page, Current Openings, allows rostered ministers and others to search the database of Ministry Site Profile forms (MSP’s) to learn of ministry openings, to read a basic snapshot of information about each opening, and to learn about the appropriate contact person for each call process.

Rostered Ministers

The Rostered Minister Profile is for use by Ministers of Word and Sacrament and Ministers of Word and Service, as well as those who are candidates for these rosters. The RMP is not intended for use by other church professionals such as non-rostered musicians, youth & family ministers, or directors of Christian education. Once completed and submitted, information on the RMP will be stored in the churchwide database – the Mobility Database System.

Ministry Sites

The Ministry Site Profile form (MSP) provides congregations (single and multiple point parishes) and church-related organizations (schools, social ministry organizations, healthcare institutions, and agencies) a single, common form to use to describe their mission and their search for a rostered minister. The MSP is filled out by leaders within the congregation or organization, under the guidance of the synod bishop or call process administrator.
