The data is in, the numbers are crunched, and we're ready to share what we've learned from the recent Landscape Assessment. Our synod's ministerium was invited to attend a "state of the synod" of sorts. At this meeting, we took a look at our synod's current levels of energy and satisfaction, how they've changed since the last assessment, what drives our energy and satisfaction, and how that information shapes future priorities.

Why is the Landscape Assessment important?
Landscape is designed especially for strategic review for middle judicatories like our synod, and provides a snapshot of the current state of the synod for the work of evidence-based discernment.
The results of our 2017 Landscape Assessment showed a stark contrast in energy and satisfaction between our synod's rostered leaders and lay leaders. Over the following years, the synod's leaders have implemented strategic initiatives aiming to better support and affirm our rostered leaders. This new data set lets us know whether the needle has been moved and what now needs our attention to further flourish.
