Renewing Creation in the Easter Season
Easter is a season of life and renewal, not only for the church, but for all of creation, too. Leaves return to trees, birds fill the air with singing, the breeze smells like rain and fresh earth. Easter is also the season during which Earth Day is typically observed, asking us to reconsider and recommit to our relationship with the planet we call home. As if a single day could ever be enough to celebrate the wonders of God's hands and our place within them! Let's try a whole season.
The SWPA Green Team has put together a guide for the seven weeks of the Easter season for personal and congregational use. Each week includes a theme and suggestions for activities to choose from as part of your creation care practices. Try something new or embrace an activity you already do. Either way, may this season renew your spirit and our world.
