Advent is a season of waiting and preparation as we look toward the celebration of Jesus’ birth. Christians around the world mark this season in different ways, shaped by their cultures, traditions, and devotional practices. Tuesdays in December, our synod’s Church Throughout the World committee brings us together with current and former ELCA missionaries to explore these traditions in a series of online evening prayer services. Through scripture and reflection, we’ll discover new perspectives on Advent and and be reminded that we don’t wait or worship alone.
