Advent is a season of waiting and preparation as we look toward the celebration of Jesus’ birth and his second coming. In a thriving global Lutheran Church, Christians around the world mark this season in different ways. This Advent and Christmas, our synod’s Church Throughout the World committee brings us together with current and former ELCA missionaries to explore these different traditions in a series of online evening prayer services. Through scripture and reflection, we’ll discover new perspectives on the season and be reminded that we don’t wait or worship alone.
