RE: Nominations for Elections at the 2023 Synod Assembly
Pursuant to S102.11 of the bylaws of our synod constitution, this letter provides all congregations and the Nominating Committee with a list of positions to be elected at the next scheduled Synod Assembly. The Assembly will take place on Friday, June 16 in the evening online and Saturday June 17, 2023 in person with an option for remote participation. The location will be announced once it is confirmed.
The list of the positions to be elected at the 2023 Synod Assembly is attached. If you wish to suggest someone as a potential nominee for one of the positions to be elected at the 2023 Synod Assembly, please obtain the person’s consent and ask the person to complete the nominee form, which can be found at https://forms.gle/PnDtYg8UD86F71ex9. If you have question about nominations or the nomination process, please contact the Rev. Erin Evan, Nominating Committee Chairperson, at nominations@swpasynod.org
While all names submitted to the Committee on Nominations will be considered, it is possible that not all the people whose names are suggested will be nominated. Persons may also be nominated from the floor at the Assembly.
Note that the deadline for receiving names for consideration is March 15, 2023.
Please let me know if there are questions.
Sincerely,
Rev. William A. Schaefer
Synod Secretary
